Arthur C. Clark once said “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.” For RFR V.I.P. Philip Ehlke, this quote helps make sci-fi more approachable. Philip returns to the Q&A for a Star Wars “Tech Talk" with an overview of George Lucas’ use of familiar real-world tech combined with some well-placed futuristic ideas and fantastical elements sprinkled in. We discuss films like Blade Runner and the use of older tech in stories featuring very advanced technology, like CRT monitors in the Star Wars universe and more.
