RFR Q&A #303: The Student Films of George Lucas

When one thinks of films directed by George Lucas, the titles "Herbie", "Freiheit", or "Look at Life" might not be at the top of the list. As a matter of fact, they might not make the list at all. But they were still incredibly important to Lucas's growth as a film maker while launching one of the most important careers in filmmaking history. While studying film at USC, Lucas turned heads by breaking rules and working outside the box to create a collection of student films that were light years ahead of his peers. RFR V.I.P. Peter Beisser returns to the Q&A to walk us through each of George's impressive short movies created during his college years and connect them to his later work on Star Wars.
