Rancho Obi-Wan's Stew Levy Tribute at SF Giants "Star Wars Night"

A guy who never received half the recognition he deserved for his immense contributions to preserving the history of STAR WARS, our friend Stewart Levy from Rancho Obi-Wan passed away suddenly last month. He was “Stew” to us and we always considered him to be “The Minister of Mood” at his beloved Rancho Obi-Wan. He was the husband to ROW President Anne Neumann and has always been a cornerstone of the museum, working behind-the-scenes to insure a great experience for every fan to ever visit Guinness Book’s “Largest Collection of Star Wars Memorabilia”.

Tonight, Stew will be honored publicly for the first time in a spectacular fashion at Oracle Park for the San Francisco Giants “Star Wars Night”. For many years, Rancho Obi-Wan has had an exhibit at the pre-game VIP event.  Many of their volunteers help at the event and last year, Stew threw out the ceremonial first pitch of the game. Stew loved MLB and that moment on the mound was one of the highlights of his life.

This year, Stew’s son Ian gets to do the same!  His walk-up announcement by Oracle Park P.A. announcer Renel Brooks Moon will be "Star Wars fans lost a dear friend with the recent passing of Rancho Obi-Wan’s Stew Levy.  Here to pay to tribute to his late father by throwing out the first pitch is lifelong Giants fan, Ian Levy, of Sacramento, California.”  Ian will be supported by Anne Neumann, her mom Susan, Ian’s girlfriend, Kira, and many dear friends and Rancho volunteers.

We are so thankful to the San Francisco Giants for making this amazing tribute happen. Also, the efforts of Rancho Obi-Wan supporters Dwayne Smith and Marc Morita cannot be understated.

Stew always generated good vibes and we here at RFR are sending our good vibes via The Force to San Francisco tonight. We wish we could be there. GO GIANTS!
