R.I.P. Charles Lippincott

R.I.P Charles Lippincott, original Star Wars marketing man, innovator. This is most likely the longest audio interview Mr. Lippincott ever participated in.

Here’s our full, complete and unedited interview with Charles Lippincott, the sometimes reclusive publicity supervisor from the original 1977 Star Wars film who worked with George Lucas and Gary Kurtz in the early days of the franchise. We believe this is the longest audio interview ever conducted with the late publicist. In the mid-seventies, Charles traveled to Science Fiction conventions to promote the film before it was released. He discusses the challenges advertising the film presented and looks back on his career working on films such as "Westworld" and with directors like Alfred Hitchcock before he joined the Star Wars production crew. Charles also talks abut working with Stan Lee on the Marvel Comics Adaptation, his thoughts on the new Star Wars films, and much more in this very rare interview.
